Welcome to the New Eden Community Blog

Recently branched off from the older community of Eden, many younger residents have chosen to move away from their ancestoral land to a different location, called New Eden. Although most residents still hold closely to their family ties and history they are eager to start a new life in a place they can make their own.

Fall 2010 - Harris

Gregory (26), Robin (26), Melody (3)
Life was good in the Harris household.

Melody was growing quickly and was learning all the things that toddler should.

She was a happy child, very much loved by both parents.

Her parents were also just as in love with each other as ever

And just as attracted to each other.

Business at the gym was going well.  The place always seemed to be busy.

With sims lining up to use the workout machines or signing up to take dance instruction from Gregory.

Gregory really enjoyed working with other sims.  What could be better than working with all of your friends nearby and right next door to the house, so you're never too far from your daughter in case the babysitter needs you?

In the mornings Robin would head to the office, while Gregory would wait for the nanny and open the gym.

In the afternoon he would preform with him dance troop and then spend a quiet evening at home with the family.

There wasn't much time for socializing except for catching up with friends when they stopped by the gym.  Robin knew she was neglecting her friendship with Tosha, so she was so glad when she stopped by so that she could congratulate her on her pregnancy in person.

Tosha and Richie's happy news started them talking about the possibility of having another child.
"If you really want to have another baby, now would be as good a time as any," Gregory reasoned.  "Melody is almost old enough to start school and we've got a good routine going for our jobs and babysitting.  That is, if you want another baby.  I'm happy with just one."

Both Robin and Gregory were only children.  Gregory's parents had no relatives to speak off, while Robin's mother had a huge family.  She was the second of six children.  While Gregory was satisfied with one, Robin thought two would be better.

"I think I would like to have another one," she said thoughtfully.
"Then let's do it."

Not long after deciding to put away the birth control, Robin found herself feeling completely worn out.  Gregory was starting to think that having another baby now wasn't such a good idea.  They were already so busy with the gym, his performances, Robin's job at the law firm, her position as hood president, and keeping up with a busy toddler.  Maybe adding an infant to the mix would be too much.

But soon, they had an explanation for Robin's weariness.  Baby number two was on its way!
