Welcome to the New Eden Community Blog

Recently branched off from the older community of Eden, many younger residents have chosen to move away from their ancestoral land to a different location, called New Eden. Although most residents still hold closely to their family ties and history they are eager to start a new life in a place they can make their own.

Moving In: The Thayer Family

Fawn Thayer was born into a large family. She and her twin brother, Gareth, were the youngest of 6 children in their household. They were raised by their mother, Meadow, and step-father, Orlando, and only knew their biological father, Tristan Artist, later in life. The twins both had artistic leanings from a young age, Fawn in art and Gareth in music, and followed those interests into college where they both majored in the arts.

Their artistic leanings were inherited from their father's side of the family, from Tristan's parents who started the original art gallery in old Eden. When Tristan died, he left his parents' artworks to Fawn, choosing her over the 3 children he had with his wife, to continue on the Artist's tradition and maintain the art gallery.
Since making the move to New Eden, Fawn has started work on a new Artisan's Gallery.

The original design of the building has proven to be less than optimal for displaying artwork, so Fawn has enlisted the help of New Eden's newest resident, James McMillian to take a look at the building and help redesign it in a more efficient way.

Even from their first meeting at the gallery, James seems eager to get started on the project. Enthusiastic, he already has a lot of ideas brewing in his mind about the art gallery project.

One thing Fawn would like added to the art gallery itself is a workshop is a studio where she can work on her own art. For the time being, she's using her own house to work on her projects. Fortunately, her house is right next door to the art gallery, so everything is within easy access.

Fawn has taken a lot of care decorating her small house in good style. Careful not to let her space become too cluttered she's tried to fill it with beautiful things to make it her own. Being a single woman, with no intentions of getting married or having a family, the small house is a perfect size for Fawn, although she wouldn't mind having a second bedroom for when guests come to stay. Gareth often crashes on her couch when he's in New Eden between touring or working in the studio with his band, Aerial Bionic. With as successful as his band has been, he could afford his own place in New Eden, but since he's home so rarely, he enjoys spending time with his sister while he can.

Fawn tries not to let Gareth's visits cramp her style. She knows that her brother doesn't approve of her forming a romantic relationship with his agent, even if they are mature adults and Winston is professional enough not to let his romantic life interfere with his professional life.

Fawn doesn't worry about what her brother thinks about their relationship. A single woman gets lonely and Winston is always good company.

Not just in the bedroom either.

Neither one of them would say it's love or are concerned about making a commitment. They are both happy being single at the moment and enjoying each other's company occasionally. But who knows when a casual relationship may grow into something more
