When Richie Cormier, told his mother Rose that he had decided to settle in New Eden with his girlfriend, Tosha, he was surprised at the suggestion she gave him. Why don't you take Violet with you.
Violet is Richie's younger sister. Only a day away from becoming a teenager, Violet was being watched by social services and was threatened to be taken away from her home because of her failing grades. Rose Cormier was appalled at the thought and felt terribly guilty. Life had been difficult for her when her husband left the family while Violet was still a newborn. Rose has worked hard even into her elder years, putting in long hours at the hospital and studying to further her career during her time off. After Richie went off to college and wasn't home to help like he was when he was a teen, things got even harder, but Rose couldn't fathom how Violet had fallen so far behind in school without her noticing.
Rose hesitated to let her barely teenage daughter live away from her, but she knew she would be in good hands with Richie. New Eden Academy was supposed to provide unrivaled educational opportunities for young sims and with Richie being a new teacher there, he would be able to keep a closer eye on his progress. As for Rose, she longed to join her family, but felt she was too old and her roots in Eden too deep to start over now.
Living with her big brother and his girlfriend seemed like a fun idea to Violet. She and Richie had been close before he left for college and Tosha was pretty cool and easy to get along with.
There were several other teens in the neighborhood to make friends with. Many of them had moved from Eden also and were sims that she had met at Eden Elementary.
Violet was always searching for something fun to do around the house to keep herself occupied and ward off boredom.
She enjoyed spending time in the pool. Often she would just float in the pool, staring up at the stars in the night sky for what felt like hours.
Sometimes she felt like the third wheel in the family and wondered if she really belonged there. Richie and Tosha needed their alone time, like any young couple. They were always talking about what they wanted in the future, which for both of them was marriage and babies. Violet couldn't help wondering where or even if she would fit in when those things happened.
Her tiny bedroom in the two bedroom house had been designed for a little kid before she came in and redecorated with her own personal stamp.
When Tosha and Richie officially announced their engagment, Violet couldn't have felt more lonely.
Lonely and bored, still horribly behind with her grades, and now in the midst of the tumultous teen years, a change of locale, was not doing much to improve Violet's situation, so far.
Fawn 
The original design of the building has proven to be less than optimal for displaying artwork, so Fawn has enlisted the help of New Eden's newest resident, James 
Even from their first meeting at the gallery, James seems eager to get started on the project. Enthusiastic, he already has a lot of ideas brewing in his mind about the art gallery project.
Being a single woman, with no intentions of getting married or having a family, the small house is a perfect size for Fawn, although she wouldn't mind having a second bedroom for when guests come to stay. Gareth often crashes on her couch when he's in New Eden between touring or working in the studio with his band, Aerial Bionic. With as successful as his band has been, he could afford his own place in New Eden, but since he's home so rarely, he enjoys spending time with his sister while he can.
Not just in the bedroom either.
R.J. Cormier and his girlfriend, Tosha Go, took a moment to model the band's new concert T-shirts while waiting outside for the doors to open.
The club was packed as nearly all of the town showed up to watch the concert. After talking to some residents at the concert the great turnout was attributed partially to the fact that drummer, Gareth Thayer, is an Eden native and his friends and neighbors wanted to support him and partially to the concert being promoted as an event to celebrate the founding of this new neighborhood. Either way, the turn out was even better than expected.
The band rocked the stage and kept the crowd dancing until they had to call it a night. 
Of course some sims are more into dancing than others. Some came just to hear the music and socialize with their neighbors. Gregory Harris and Winston Crabtree get into a debate about entertainment and art.
Gregory: I mean, wouldn't it be great if we had more art and culture on the screen and in our hood events?
The house is the perfect size for the two of them and the baby that's on the way. There may even be room for one or two more. Whether or not there is another child in the Straight's future depends on who you ask. Christopher would love to have a large family, but Sophie is more hesitant. She is just starting her career as a professional athlete and hopes to make it to the top of the career someday. She sometimes worries that multiple pregnancies will keep her from achieving her dreams.
Of course, it's easier for Christopher to dream of having a perfect family when he doesn't have to go through the pregnancies and when he is currently unemployed and able to be a stay at home dad. Luckily Sophie is more than happy to be the breadwinner in the family.
In the afternoon, Gregory Harris stops by to boast about his new dance and fitness studio, hoping Jane will drop a few words about it in STAR or at least give it a good review in the local paper. 
Something about him, just rubs her the wrong way. She's a serious journalist after all. Not at the beck and call of any local business owner. She knows she shouldn't alienate anyone in the hood, especially someone like Gregory who might attract local celebs to his studio, but she just can't help making her feelings known and putting him in his place.
Luckily, Gregory is a nice guy and not easily offended. He wanders off to the D'Sim's study and starts thumbing through Shawn's magazine collection. 
In the evening Gregory's wife, Robin drops by the D'Sim's house looking for her husband. Robin, who has taken on some of the neighborhood organization duties until an official election can be held, starts up a conversation with Jane about the neighborhood's education system. The neighborhood has already hired a new teacher, but still needs to find a facility for the classrooms and possibly housing for students, if the proposed boarding school becomes a reality. 
At the end of the day, Jane is relieved when the neighbors have finally gone home and she can spend some quality time with someone she truly enjoys spending time with, her husband, Shawn.
